Privacy Policy

Data Collection

LinkForge is built with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal data:

• Shortened URLs: The original URLs you shorten are stored in our database to enable redirection.
• Click Analytics: When someone clicks a short link, we record: country (from IP geolocation), device type, browser, OS, and referrer URL. We do NOT store IP addresses.
• Browser Token: A random token is stored in your browser's localStorage to identify your links. This is completely anonymous.

No Account Required

LinkForge does not require any sign-up, login, or personal information. Your identity is never linked to your shortened URLs.

Third-Party Services

• Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights: Anonymous performance metrics.
• Google AdSense: May display ads and use cookies. See Google's ad policy.
• Neon Database: Stores link and click data on secure servers.

Data Retention

You can delete your links at any time from the dashboard. Deleted links and their analytics are permanently removed.
